Dahab Dive Sites : Eel Garden
Eel Garden is simply a wonder. Entry is through a narrow lagoon on the edge of the reef table, which itself is full of life. Glide over the saddle and start this amazing dive over a lunar-scape sand dune, with hundreds of alien-like Garden Eel's swaying like reeds in the breeze.
After the dune enter the most incredible coral gardens simply teeming with colour and life. Soft corals of purples and mauves cascade over the table corals here, and often a turtle, eagle ray or blue spotted ray can be seen.
Turn around and make the second half of the dive back along the reef wall and enjoy the profusion of colour before your eyes. Exit at the same point and shake your head at the natural wonder which is the Eel Garden.
