Dahab on the Red Sea
Dahab, once a simple Bedouin settlement and travellers' haven, Dahab now boasts all modern facilities while retaining its unique and ethnic charm... palm-thatched beach side cafes, colourful markets and a constant parade of tasseled camels and elegant white-robed Bedouin.
One of the top dive spots in the world, the waters beyond the fringing reefs plunge here to 1,850m (among the deepest in the Red Sea), and provide the rare opportunity of seeing both pelagic and reef life only a few metres from the shore.
